Colin Kaepernick Refusing to Stand the National Anthem

“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”
Colin Kaepernick was the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2016. In 2016 during the National Anthem, Kaepernick refused to stand. Instead of steading, Kaepernick took a knee to support African Americans.

September 3, Kaepernick was the face of Nike’s “Just Do It” 30th- anniversary campaign. Nike received backlash for featuring Kaepernick, the controversial quarterback. Customers was even burning their Nike gear. From Friday, August 31 to Tuesday, September 4, Nike’s stock went from 82.20 to 79.60. To this day, Nike’s stock is at 84.43.

Customers were burning shoes, clothes, and everything Nike related. A lot of customers were disappointed in Nike’s Ad about Colin. Customers were angry that Nike supports Colin and his believes. It’s Colin’s opinion about what he believes in African American’s right. Everyone is allowed to have their opinions and their believes.
