Taking a exam can be difficult for many people and they may not know how to study the right way. There is many tips on how to study for an exam.

1. Get Information
Don’t walk into the test not knowing any of the material. Find out what chapter and what topics the test will cover. Asking if it will be multiple-choice and short answer or what kind of essays is going to be on the exam? Know the layout of the test is important because when you study, you know what to tackle in the material.
2. Make your own study aids
If you are taking notes in class, you can turn your notes into flashcards. Flashcards can help with vocabulary and questions and answer. Maybe have a friend quiz you on the material or write your own practice test.

3. Study everyday
Have a test in a week? Study a little each day will help you with what you’re struggling with before the exam. Get ahead of studying, and it will give you an opportunity to ask your professor about the material you are struggling with.
4. Cut out the Distractions
Turn off your phone while studying. Distractions make it difficult to pay attention to what you’re doing, which in turn makes it harder to commit facts to memory. Taking a break for about 45 minutes during study could help you focus.
5. Review the day of the test
Review our flashcards a couple times or reread your chapters in the book. This can refresh the brain.
