Every softball player has to start somewhere. To learning how to field a ball, to how to swing a bat. In this blog, you will learn some tips on how to swing a softball bat.
Step One: Getting the Right Bat
Getting the right bat for your children is very important. You don’t want a bat that is too heavy for your children, because it would be too hard for the children to hit the ball. If the bat is too light for them, go up a weight. If the bat is too light then your children will be too early for the ball.
Step Two: Grip
Starting with the grip, if you are a right-handed, the right hand is on top and the left hand is on bottom. It’s reversed for left-handed. Your hands should be placed against each other with your door-knocking knuckles lined up in a straight line.

Step Three: Stance
When you step into the batters box have your feet shoulder width apart. As you hold the bat, your hands should be close to your body and not away from your body. Make sure your elbows are down and shoulders are relaxed. Your elbows should make an “A” look shape.
Step Four: Swing the Bat
You start with your feet shoulders width. Starting your swing, start with movement with your hips and legs. Rotate your hips forward and your back foot pointing. Bring your arms to the ball and keeping them parallel to the ground.
